What is the focus of the Bogor Conference?
- The Bogor conference will focus on "Climate change mitigation and adaptation - strengthening SEA-EU S&T collaboration to find common solutions"
- The SEA-EU-NET conference will seek to reinforce mitigation and adaption to climate change bi-regionally through the project outcomes and will additionally focus upon the impact of climate change on health, food, and energy and the affect this will have on both regions.

Outline of the Conference programme
- The conference will consist of five panel sessions and three thematic break-out sessions.
- There will also be a display of up to 100 poster presentations.

- SEA-EU-NET is going to explore emerging problems and portray strengths of the existing S&T collaborations between South East Asia Countries and EU, it will focus on the presentation of S&T capacities in SEA countries, mechanisms to foster S&T cooperation between the two regions and on the discussion of future initiatives
- As an outcome of the conference topics of mutual interest for future bi-regional S&T collaborations will be identified
- SEA-EU-NET will ensure that these topics for Europe and South East Asia are implemented through future project activities

- SEA-EU-NET is a project funded under the 7th Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development. The project commenced in January 2008 and is currently funded for a period of 4 years.
- The project is driving forward actions to increase the quality, quantity, profile and impact of bi-regional Science and Technology cooperation between 10 Member Countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and the Member- and Associated States of the European Union (EU).
- SEA-EU-NET promotes scientific collaboration in areas of common interest to South East Asia and Europe such as climate change and the environment, energy and infectious diseases.
- SEA-EU-NET hosts an annual stakeholders conference to discuss the project objectives and bring experts together to identify key topics of biregional interest and opportunities for collaboration.
- The conference in Bogor is the second stakeholders conference (the first one took place in November 2008 in Paris, France).
